CG Spectrum shared the Intensive Unreal Connectors program for studios & artists led by real-time experts.
The course is mentored by Simon Warwick, Carl Shedd, William Faucher, Deepak Chetty, Brighton Gardiner, and Shaun Foster.
Simon Warwick is trained and practiced in animation but is always exploring new technology to create the next best thing. He’s been working in the video game industry since 2005 and was credited as the only technical cinematic animator for Batman: Arkham City at Rocksteady Studios.
Carl Shedd is a Senior Level Artist / Lead Lighting Artist. Up until recently, Carl was the World Building Director at Gearbox Software. He has since co-founded a new game studio, Ruckus Games. Working in the industry for over 14 years, he contributed to seven multi-platform titles as well as many accompanying DLCs.
William Faucher has been in the entertainment industry for the past 11 years, starting as a 3D Modeler, then becoming a Lighter, and DoP.
Deepak Chetty is a filmmaker, educator, and virtual production explorer who loves finding ways to democratize the learning and integration of the latest in cutting-edge technology for creatives around the globe. He is an Assistant Professor of Practice, teaching Realtime Rendering, VFX, and Interactive Development at UT Austin with a joint appointment in the Radio/Television/Film Department as well as the School of Design and Creative Technologies.
Brighton Gardiner is a Senior Technical Animator at Final Strike Games. He's working with game designers and artists to bring characters to life and create compelling gameplay. He contributed to The Sims and Rocket Arena.
Shaun Foster is a professor at the Rochester Institute of Technology. He has worked on award-winning projects and received multiple grants including an Epic MegaGrant to develop a real-time training program.
What are Unreal Connectors?
Epic Games recently launched Unreal Connectors: the first micro-credentialing program dedicated to teaching virtual production to established artists. CG Spectrum, an Unreal Authorized Training Center, Unreal Academic Partner, and now, Unreal Connector, has developed the Unreal Connectors: Virtual Production Program in partnership with Epic Games.
