Nvidia Demonstrates What RTX is Capable of on Arm Devices

Together with an RTX-capable GPU, Arm processors can deliver real-time ray tracing, DLSS, and other RTX features.

The first demo from Nvidia shows Wolfenstein: Youngblood on a GeForce RTX 3060 GPU coupled with a MediaTek Kompanio 1200 Arm processor. So far, the Arm version of the game is not expected to see a commercial release but the flexibility of the game made it just the right choice for the demo. First, ray tracing of reflections adds a whole new level of depth to the image.

The second demo shows a sample scene called The Bistro where you can see over 80.000 illuminated triangles emitting simultaneously and the entire room is filled with light thanks to RTX Direct Illumination (RTXDI). Plus, Real-Time Denoisers make the scene look polished and add to the cinematic look.

As Nvidia states, "the RTXDI, NRD, and RTXMU SDKs for Arm with Linux and Chromium are available now. RTXGI and DLSS will be coming soon."
