This Tool Helps Identify Bugs & Optimization Opportunities In Your UE5 Levels

James Rowbotham launched a solution to quickly find the needle (issues) in the haystack (your level).

Small bugs and minor optimization oversights can easily slip through, gradually accumulating over time and snowballing into something much more significant, seriously affecting the development or the player's experience. Created by James Rowbotham, also known as CBgameDev, Level Optimise Tool is designed to help you quickly identify possible bugs and optimization issues in your Unreal Engine 5 levels, eliminating the need for tedious manual checks.

With 47 optimization searches and 46 bug searches, this tool scans for issues like lights with no Max Draw Distance set, lights with Cast Shadows enabled, static meshes lacking LODs or Nanite, skeletal meshes missing LODs, audio with volume overrides set, and much more.

Level Optimise Tool comes fully equipped with documentation and a dedicated YouTube playlist to guide you through its features. James Rowbotham will continuously update the tool with each new engine version release and as he finds new ways to improve its functionality.

Please note that this tool does not make any changes to your level or project. It simply reads your assets and generates logs of potential issues for you to review and address.
