15 Seconds Footage From A Blacksmith Simulator With Kicking-Seagulls Mechanics

If you think kicking seagulls is bad, read till the end of this article.

Indie Game Developer BadBarian has joined the trend to share 15 seconds of their WIP game, a pixelated side scroller. Let's have a look:

Although it lasts only fifteen seconds, we can see lots of features and gameplay. It starts with a hilarious situation when the character falls down due to a stamina outage and is heavily laughed at by the young lady.

The way he kicks one seagull and another helps us understand why the game is titled BadSmith. It's actually a blacksmith simulator, where players take on the role of a young blacksmith living in a kingdom that is at the edge of cival war. You care for the forge left by the missing dad to pay the debt to the king.

The core gameplay is to craft unique items, i.e., legendary weapons and armor, for heroes who hunt monsters. But they have different requirements for the weapon, and you'll need to make it according to their characteristics. Otherwise, the weapons might break and result in the death of the hero. "There will be 3 factions - Royal Guardians, Marauders and the Cultists. You can help one of the factions win the civil war, or even sell weapons to everyone and drown in orders and lack of time."

More clips were shared by the developer explaining why the seagulls should be kicked away. Obviously, if you don't, they will steal your food. Also, the footage shows the UI panel, dialogue, scene, and mood of the game:

BadSmith doesn't have a release window yet. If it piques your interest, you can wishlist the game on Steam to be notified when it's released and follow the developer on X/Twitter to check out more updates.
