3D Artist Showed Custom-Made Parallax Shader for Creating Eyes

A new demo by 3D Modeling Artist Kensyouen_Y.

3D Modeling Artist Kensyouen_Y, renowned for creating plenty of fantastic Blender anime-style animations, has shared a new demo with using parallax shader for visualizing eyes.

Kensyouen_Y shared that they've been using such type of shader for about a year and now utilize a custom-made one. The artist said that using this method has both benefits and drawbacks. According to the creator, one of the advantages is that you can change the way how things appear, especially with vertically long anime-style eyes. When made three-dimensionally, the gaze can become misaligned, and in some cases, a flat version might be better, so parallax allows you to forcefully make that work.
