Senior or Principal Level Designer at CD Projekt Red

The Molasses Flood is looking for a Senior or Principal Level Designer to help us create gameplay-rich and environmentally story-dense spaces for our next title. You will drive the creation of spaces set in the Slavic open world of The Witcher that support telling the story of this world while supporting a rich palette of gameplay systems.

As a senior or principal designer, you will be responsible for layout, greybox, scripting, markup, and encounter design. You will also work collaboratively with the gameplay design, engineering, art, and narrative teams to make sure that the spaces you create are beautiful, performant, fun, and tell the story of the game. You will work with tech designers and tools engineers to ensure you have all the tools they need to work happily and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience as a level designer on a AAA or action title
  • Experience with scripting systems, either visual (such as Blueprint) or text-based (such as Python, Lua, or C#)
  • The ability to communicate fluently with engineering, art, narrative and production
  • Candidates must have a US work permit or citizenship
  • Curiosity, kindness, and a positive and professional can-do attitude

Technical UI Designer at Electronic Arts

We are looking for Junior to Mid-level Technical UI Designers to come join us in bringing the user interface of the next Battlefield to life. You will work in our proprietary Frostbite engine using visual scripting to develop the HUD and further UI flows and elements. Often you will be the puzzle piece tying features together while making sure our performance targets are met. You will report to the Lead UI Scripter.

Qualifications:

  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience working in professional game development and working in game engines
  • Implemented screens, widgets, logic and data flows, worked with other disciplines to implement UI
  • You have experience in UI implementation with other game engines or frameworks like Unreal, Unity, WPF, Qt, or Blockly
  • You have experience in solving technically challenging problems
  • You have experience with rapid prototyping to test the feasibility of concepts, taking an idea from start to finish on your own
  • An understanding of (UI/UX) design principles, typography, layout, motion, and visual fidelity
