Roundy's system can handle complex meshes and offers a wide range of customizable parameters.
The JellyMesh System is a Unity component that introduces jelly-like physics to any mesh, enabling a variety of use cases such as secondary motion for character elements like hair or clothing, interactive environmental objects, soft food items, suspension and wheel deformation, and even physically-reactive UI elements.
Leveraging Unity's Job System and Burst compiler for high-performance soft-body deformation, the JellyMesh System efficiently handles complex meshes, even in demanding scenes. It offers customizable parameters for physics, including a runtime-adjustable pivot point to control the center of deformation during gameplay.
The system also features an automatic LOD system to optimize performance based on camera distance, mesh collider support for physics interactions with the deformed mesh, and performance optimization options to balance quality and speed. Also, it provides a professional editor interface with detailed tooltips and help sections for ease of use.
The JellyMesh System is completely free to use, but you can support its creator, Roundy, on Ko-fi. Learn more about the system's requirements, tips, and best practices, and download it here.
