During the annual N7 Day event, BioWare released a mysterious teaser trailer for its highly anticipated Mass Effect project. The brief video showcases a person donning an N7-branded coat and a helmet concealing their face, walking down a corridor. The accompanying text snippet from the countdown hints at a connection to the previous installment in the series, Mass Effect Andromeda.
BioWare initially announced the development of a new Mass Effect game in 2020 and has since shared a few teaser images and details. While it seems that the project is still in the early stages of development, BioWare is currently focused on their upcoming title, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, which belongs to their other major franchise.
It is important to mention that BioWare is currently involved in a contentious lawsuit with former employees who were laid off in August. These former developers are asking for better severance packages, saying that it's difficult to find new jobs before the holidays, especially considering that BioWare's NDAs prevent them from showcasing their latest work on Dreadwolf.
