The estimated time of the Early Access release has also been revealed.
Developers of the upcoming action roguelike survival game, Dark Light: Survivor, have recently showcased a smooth transition of the camera angle from third-person to top-down, as well as weather systems.
If you missed our first article about the game, Dark Light: Survivor is powered by Unity and it allows a switch between retro pixelated and cinematic graphics. Players take on the role of one of the last remaining humans, who is seeking the fabled Elysium in a fragmented multiverse. A key feature is its deep customization, which allows players to "swap out attachments like handgrips, scopes, handles, ammo, and lasers." The customized weapons help better deal with the relentless challenges.
In a reply from the development team, it's mentioned that "each perspective offers unique perks, like third-person view boosting headshot damage."
The developers, who are working hard to release the game in Early Access in late 2025, said it'll also be available on PS5 in addition to PC via Steam.
As the release approaches, more in-game footage has been shared to give us further insights into the game's atmosphere, intense combat with hordes of the undead, a transition from their earlier game to this new one, and more:
