Check Out This Free Blender Tool That Adds Gesture Commands

Gesture Helper allows you to easily add up to eight commands to mouse gestures, improving workflow efficiency.

Developer AIGODLIKE has introduced a free Blender add-on that allows users to add gesture-based operations to mouse controls, improving workflow efficiency.

You can add up to eight gestures. An operation menu will be displayed when hovering the mouse, and the operator can be executed directly by swiping over it.

Gesture Helper's main features include:

  • Add operator. Just swipe your mouse in that direction to execute the corresponding modifier.
  • Secondary gestures. Add secondary gestures based on eight primary directions.
  • Gesture editing. Simplify the process of customizing gesture directions such as copying, deleting, etc.
  • Import and export custom gesture settings
  • Autosave. The current gesture will be automatically saved in the add-on directory

For the Root layer, create eight sub-gestures to enable the gesture-driven menu.

Select a gesture, then click the Direction button to replace the corresponding gesture direction.

After adding an Operator in a certain direction, you can execute the corresponding Operator by simply swiping the mouse over that direction. There are also Child Operators available.

As for secondary gestures, you can add them based on the eight primary directions, such as Right + Up.

Easily copy the selected gesture to save time on adding new gesture directions, delete or move them around.

Here's how you can save your custom gestures. Naturally, you can also import gestures shared by others or your own gesture backups.

The Automatic Backup function will save the current gesture to the add-on directory.

The Gesture Helper add-on is free and is available in Chinese and English versions.
