Feybreak Update Brings Palworld Highest Number of Players Since Launch

The number of concurrent players increased by almost 800% compared to the recent time.

The new Feybreak update brought an open-world survival hit game, Palworld, a new wave of popularity, raising the number of the game's active players to its highest since its release at the beginning of the year.

As reported by Forbes, recently, the number of the game's concurrent players skyrocketed by almost 800%, from the lowest numbers over the last few months. It became the largest number of active players since Palworld's release in March 2024.

According to the data on SteamDB, at the time of writing, the 24-hour peak of concurrent players exceeded 200,000 players, and Palworld also became one of the most played and trending games:

The game's rapidly increasing popularity is due to its recently released update, Feybreak, which was showcased at The Game Awards. It is the game's largest update and features a new island, resources, a new mechanic, 23 new Pals, boss fights, new modes, and more.

On December 25, Pocketpair added six Christmas skins in the update:

Palworld launched in early access on PC on January 19 and was more than warmly welcomed, with over 25 million players in a month. Recently, Pocketpair announced a crossover between its survival open-world hit and Terraria, a beloved action-adventure sandbox game, coming in 2025. Also, as was previously announced, the multiplayer will be released on mobile platforms in collaboration with KRAFTON.

Also, recently, Nintendo filed a lawsuit against Palword's developer for patent infringement. The latter responded that it was unaware of the specific patents that it had allegedly infringed. The supposed breach could be related to the characters catching and throwing other characters' mechanics.
