"It's Nothing I'm Opposed To": Miyazaki on Bloodborne PC Port

"My personal, pure honest opinion is I'd love more players to be able to enjoy it. "

It's been nearly a decade since Bloodborne was released on PlayStation 4 back in 2005, and PC players have yet to experience it. Every so often, rumors surface about a potential PC port of Bloodborne, with the most recent one occurring in February saying that Bloodborne was working on a PC port and PS5 version at some point.

As FromSoftware gears up for a major update to another significant title, Elden Ring, the company's president, Hidetaka Miyazaki, sat down for an interview with PC Gamer. During the discussion, he offered his personal perspective on a Bloodborne PC port.

FromSoftware

The interview, conducted by Wes Fenlon from PC Gamer, involved Miyazaki, FromSoftware producer Yasuhiro Kitao, and interpreter Bobby Simpson. When asked whether he, Miyazaki, would personally like to see Bloodborne come to PC someday, he gave a genuine response:

"I know for a fact these guys [Yasuhiro Kitao and Bobby Simpson] want a Bloodborne PC port. If I say I want one, I'll get in trouble as well. But it's nothing I'm opposed to."

It's refreshing to hear the game director's standpoint on the matter. Miyazaki further shared his own thoughts on the potential and necessity of a PC port:

"Obviously, as one of the creators of Bloodborne, my personal, pure honest opinion is I'd love more players to be able to enjoy it. Especially as a game that is now coming of age, one of those games of the past that gets lost on older hardware — I think any game like that, it'd be nice to have an opportunity for more players to be able to experience that and relive this relic of the past. So as far as I'm concerned, that's definitely not something I'd be opposed to."

FromSoftware

It's essential to note that while FromSoftware developed Bloodborne, Sony owns the Bloodborne IP and ultimately decides whether a PC version will be released. But at least, the hope is still there.
