Markerless facial mocap, texture mapping workflow, and animation transfer are now one click away.
After months in open beta, KeenTools' professional facial mocap add-on for Blender is now production-ready. With FaceTracker, you can capture facial performance and head motion with precise matching geometry, create digital doubles from video frame snapshots, perform 3D texture mapping for beauty work, de-aging, and relighting, convert facial animations to ARKit blendshapes or Rigify rigs, and apply digital makeup, dynamic VFX, hair, and more.
CGMatter's video, where he explained how he extended his beard utilizing Blender and FaceTracker, was among the first to explore the plug-in's features, but since then, KeenTools has released several tutorials that dive deeper into the FaceTracker's features and provide a comprehensive walkthrough of its pipelines:
With the stable release, FaceTracker for Blender is now a paid tool, offering a 15-day free trial. You can get full access to all features, including custom face mesh generation, motion capture, and animation retargeting, with the FaceBundle deal, which provides one key for both FaceTracker and FaceBuilder at a discounted price. Also, until December 31st, you can use the FTB30 discount code to get 30% off the annual Freelancer subscription for FaceBundle or FaceTracker during the first year.
KeenTools 2024.3 introduces several other updates, including the relocation of all export options to a dedicated tab in both FaceTracker and GeoTracker, added support for Blender 4.3, REHL 9 builds for Nuke 15.0 and Nuke 15.1 on Linux, and various maintenance fixes and minor improvements.
