Mio3 UV Blender UV Editing Tool Can Now Space Islands Evenly

It can also make selected islands or UV groups the same width.

Mio3io has updated Mio3 UV, their comprehensive Maya-inspired UV editing add-on for Blender, greatly enhancing the UV unwrapping process with features tailored specifically for character modeling.

The October update introduced several new additions, including a UV to Mesh feature powered by Geometry Nodes, texture exposure adjustment, and various improvements to existing operators. The developer is actively working on implementing more functionality with the recent launch of two new features: Stretch, which aligns the width of UV islands or groups, and Distribute, which evenly spaces UV islands.

Here's what else was added in Mio3 UV 1.3:

  • Straight: Keep the pin;
  • Circle: Composite edges option;
  • Unwrap: Direction BOTH/X/Y option;
  • Unwrap: Minimum Stretch to Unwrap method options;
  • Rectify: Unwrap methods option;
  • Rectify: Adjust the aspect ratio only for the boundary;
  • Normalize: Now in the Unwrap section;
  • Adjust Length: Now Distribute UVs;
  • UI: Improved text, translation, and UI.

Mio3 UV is completely free and available on the Extensions platform and GitHub.
