NVIDIA Unveils a Set of Cloud Services for Building Generative AIs

The company is partnering with Adobe, Getty Images, and Shutterstock to build AI models, applications, and services.

During its semi-annual GPU Technology Conference (GTC), NVIDIA announced the launch of NVIDIA AI Foundations, a new set of cloud services designed to help developers and companies to build, refine, and operate custom LLMs and generative AI models and train them with their own proprietary data.

Currently consisting of three separate amenities – NVIDIA NeMo, a new language-oriented service, NVIDIA Picasso, a novel cloud service for building and deploying generative AI-powered image, video, and 3D applications, and NVIDIA BioNeMo, which enables researchers to quickly customize and deploy domain-specific biomolecular AI models at scale – NVIDIA AI Foundations provides the ability to create AI models, applications, and services.

What’s more, the set is powered by the company’s DGX Cloud, a browser-based AI super-computing service that gives enterprises immediate access to the infrastructure and software needed to train advanced models for generative AI, also introduced during GTC 2023.

"Generative AI is driving the fast adoption of AI and reinventing countless industries," commented NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. "NVIDIA AI Foundations let enterprises customize foundation models with their own data to generate humanity’s most valuable resources – intelligence and creativity."

Furthermore, NVIDIA also unveiled the early adopters of their NVIDIA AI Foundations toolset, stating that it is partnering with Adobe, Getty Images, Shutterstock, Morningstar, and Quantiphi to create generative AIs.

The former three will be utilizing Picasso to build generative text-to-image and text-to-video AI models, with Shutterstock even planning to create and train a generative text-to-3D model using licensed Shutterstock assets as Picasso's training data, while the latter two are planning to use NeMo to “research advanced intelligence services” and “build a modular generative AI solution” respectively.
