A new tool from Nodes Interactive.
Piotr Popek, also known as Nodes Interactive, the creator of many cool Blender tools, has released a simple yet handy setup that enables real-time UV stretching preview, allowing you to control both the amount and type of stretching in your project.
As demonstrated in the video, red and blue colors indicate areas of the unwrapped mesh that are stretched or compressed. A hotfix is already available: stretching is now calculated per UV island, so even if parts of the UVs are intentionally smaller, stretching will still be calculated correctly.

There's also another new free Geometry Nodes modifier that will keep the curve's shape at sharp corners by adjusting the resolution of the spline adaptively using tangent:
