Super Mario Bros. Z Reboot Intro Remade in 3D

Animator NooB_B3D presented a 3D remake of Alvin Earthworm's iconic animation.

Check out this absolutely marvelous 2-minute-long 3D remake of the intro to Mark Haynes' Super Mario Bros. Z (SMBZ) Reboot created by NooB_B3D, a 3D Animator passionate about Nintendo and SEGA's game universes.

For those unaware, SMBZ is a fan-made Flash series created by Mark Haynes, a.k.a. Alvin Earthworm, that intertwines the Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog universes. The crossover consists of the original 2006 series and the 2015 reboot, the production of which was halted by Nintendo. You can watch the original intro attached below.

Moreover, NooB_B3D has also posted a lengthy Twitter thread providing a behind-the-scenes look at the animation, demonstrating the 3D models created for it, showing some of its shots from different angles, and revealing multiple test renders. You can check out the full thread by clicking this link.

I have to ask! What software did you use to model and animate these characters? I’ve had a dream to accomplish this and you’ve managed to do it much sooner
