Nintendo shared the sale numbers for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in its financial report for the quarter ending on June 30th.
Tears of the Kingdom was released in mid-May, and it took the game a month and a half to reach the milestone of 18.5 million copies sold. As for the results of Breath of the Wild on the Switch console, the game, over its entire lifespan, sold 30.6 million copies.
When it comes to the title's other records, the latest chapter in The Legend of Zelda series has already secured a spot in the top ten best-selling games on the Switch of all time – currently, it has the ninth spot but we're sure it will climb to the top eventually.
As for the Switch console itself, Nintendo shared that global shipments of the device have reached 129.5 million units. You can find the full report here.
