StoneLab Studio is also working on a public demo for EthrA.

StoneLab Games

EthrA is an upcoming game with immersive adventures and pixel art that we've been following for the past two years. Recently, its developer, StoneLab Studio, shared new footage from this exploration-focused RPG to showcase the many new features, functions, and improvements added to the game.

If you missed our previous articles, EthrA is powered by Unity, and it features a peculiar art style that combines pixelated 3D models with 2D character sprites, offering a unique-looking world for players to explore. The game will put you in the shoes of an adventurer and will allow you to choose your own fighting style, explore a vast world full of dungeons and foes, and help the world's inhabitants solve their issues.

The most recent clip is about combat between Bob, the protagonist that players control, and a slimy enemy. It's not easy to beat the jumpy enemy, though, as it keeps breaking into smaller slimes that keep bothering you till they are too small to be a threat:

Other than slimes, players can now fight with goblins in EthrA, using your sword to make them dizzy and then dead, before disappearing from the ground with a cloud:

The game now has richer environments and biomes, as developers bring water area, rivers, and more vegetation to the forest so players can collect to use for materials craft:

Besides all these, the developers have shown the much-welcomed feature of character customization, improved combat, blocking animation, a new dialogue system, and give us a look at the stunning trade outpost area:

Last but not least, this gliding showcase is so amusing, allowing you to take advantage of a chicken to slide and land smoothly from a cliff. Adding to the realism, feathers drop as the chicken flaps its wings hard:

With the game becoming more complete and promising, long-awaited players can't help asking when they can have their hands on the game. Good news from the developer: They teased that they are currently working on a public demo! If you'd like to be notified when it's out, it would be better to join their Discord channel or follow the developer on Twitter. Also, don't forget to add the game to your wishlist on Steam
