You can use various particle parameters to control different values of particles. The team has introduced a new visual Curve Editor to make the whole process more intuitive and flexible.
"Some parameters can now be controlled via curves, some new parameters were added (like particle position enabling you to create swirls, for example), and UI for Particle Systems has become more intuitive and convenient," wrote the team.
They have also added a new motion texture, containing vectors, which provides smoother animation for sprite-to-sprite transitions. The team noted that this can be useful if you use particle texture atlases with high-resolution sprites and a low number of frames. These textures can be set up with EmberGen or Houdini.
