Yellow Brick's second office will operate in conjunction with the studio's Quebec City headquarters.
Canadian-based developer Yellow Brick Games revealed it has opened its second studio. The new office is located in Montreal and will operate in conjunction with Yellow Brick's primary headquarters in Quebec City.
Founded in 2020, Yellow Brick Games was established by a group of industry veterans including Mike Laidlaw, the former creative director of the Dragon Age series at BioWare who also served as creative director at Ubisoft, and Thomas Giroux, Jeff Skalski, and Frédéric St-Laurent B who all have prior experience at major game development companies including Ubisoft, BioWare, Electronic Arts, and Activision Blizzard.
"With the growth of recent months, we began to reach a critical mass of employees in the Montreal area, which justified offering them a space where they could have the opportunity to choose to work from home or not, to gather and to experience the Yellow Brick Games culture in another way," Giroux said.
Yellow Brick is currently busy with the development of its debut project, a fantasy RPG based on an original IP. One year ago, it was announced that the studio had partnered with Private Division, which is expected to publish the unnamed game upon its completion.
