AMD Has Cut Prices for Ryzen 7000 CPUs by $50-$125

According to AMD Germany, the current low prices are time-limited and available only during the Black Friday Week sales.

AMD has cut prices for its Ryzen 7000 series CPUs. The company decided to lower prices for the processors just two months after their release.

As spotted by VideoCardz, the company's website shows the discount as "New Low Price". AMD's product store has other discounts mentioned as "Pre-Black Friday Deals" – due to this, some suggested that the lowered Ryzen 7000 prices are permanent prices but not temporary discounts.

The company has cut processor prices by $50-$125 depending on the model, with the most expensive Ryzen 9 7950X and 7900X chips seeing the highest price drop.

Here is how the prices for the Ryzen 7000 series CPUs decreased:

  • Ryzen 9 7950X – from $699 to $574
  • Ryzen 9 7900X – from $549 to $474
  • Ryzen 7 7700X – from $399 to $349
  • Ryzen 5 7600X – from $299 to $249

The reason for such a significant price cut was unclear for some time. Considering the recent date of the CPUs' release, some suggested that it might be related to low demand for the chips due to their previous cost.

However, later it turned out that current prices are based "on Black Week discount campaigns", AMD Germany spokesperson confirmed this to the German outlet PC Games Hardware.

While this information only applies to Germany, most likely, similar actions are currently taking place in other countries as well. So, there is a high possibility that this can be only a time-limited offer.
