AMD Shares Details of HYPR-RX Performance Boost Technology

The tech is coming in the first half of 2023.

AMD announced HYPR-RX – its one-click performance boost technology – together with the Radeon RX 7900 series GPUs. Now we get more details about the tech expected in the first half of 2023.

HYPR-RX combines Radeon Super Resolution, Radeon Boost, and Radeon Anti-Lag, as spotted by Videocardz, to reduce latency, enable dynamic resolution scaling, and use a spatial upscaler. It will be part of the pre-set profiles you can find in the Graphics tab in the drivers. HYPR-RX should provide a better solution for games that don't support FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.0

AMD claims that the technology delivers up to 85% higher FPS in Dying Light 2 Stay Human (from 90 to 166 FPS) with the Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card and AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition. Additionally, the latency is reduced from 30 ms to 11 ms, and the resolution is upped from 1080p to 1440p.
