The voting period for the 2023 Steam Awards has ended, and the winners have been announced. Some of them are obvious and some I didn't expect, although it might be different for you, of course.
The main award – Game of the Year – is once again snatched by Baldur's Gate 3, meaning Larian Studios' RPG is now the ultimate best game of 2023 with the GOTY trophy from Steam, The Game Awards, and Golden Joystick.
Apart from this, Baldur's Gate 3 also received an Outstanding Story-Rich Game award and might have seen more if Steam let one game be nominated for more than two categories.
Larian's latest hit is not done collecting nominations yet. As mentioned by PC Gamer, it leads BAFTA's Best Games of 2023 longlist with 15 nominations, which will be announced on March 7, followed by a ceremony on April 11.
But enough about Baldur's Gate 3. Here are other great games that have won in this Steam Awards:
- Labor of Love – Red Dead Redemption 2
- Best Game on Steam Deck – Hogwarts Legacy
- Better With Friends – Lethal Company
- Outstanding Visual Style – Atomic Heart
- Most Innovative Gameplay – Starfield
- Best Game You Suck At – Sifu
- Best Soundtrack – The Last of Us Part I
- Sit Back and Relax – Dave the Diver
