No, this is not a test, nor is it a late April Fools' prank. During the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct presentation, Hollow Knight: Silksong, the long-awaited sequel to Team Cherry's Hollow Knight, received a very brief mention of enormous significance, revealing that the game is finally launching in 2025.
The announcement was made in the most off-hand manner imaginable – tucked within a lineup of upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 titles – nonetheless confirming that not only is Silksong not a myth, but it is coming sometime this year, at least to Switch 2. Beyond this confirmation, neither Nintendo nor Team Cherry has shared further details.
