Camera Space Particles Setup for Blender's Geometry Nodes

The modifier enables you to create procedural particle effects, such as snow and rain.

Game Developer and 3D Artist Shahzod Boyhonov, who last week impressed us with a Unity-powered mobile Rain Simulator app prototype, has released Camera Space Particles, a neat setup for Blender's Geometry Nodes that will allow you to create procedural particle effects, such as snow and rain.

According to the creator, the setup distributes particles only around the camera, doesn't require simulation or baking, and works with Blender versions 3.3 and higher.

The developer also notes that the setup works per camera, so "if you have multiple cameras in your scene, you may need to attach separate particles to every camera and hide/unhide the particles when switching between cameras".
