Chaos Released Vantage 2.2

The update adds support for V-Ray hair tools and Displacement as well as improved OptiX denoiser.

Chaos has launched Vantage 2.2, the newest version of its real-time tool for exploring V-Ray scenes within a 100% ray-traced environment.

If you work with hair a lot, you'll love this update because Chaos introduced support for V-Ray Fur, Ornatrix, Hairfarm, and XGen hair as well as the Hair Next material.

Apart from this, you get support for V-Ray Displacement, the new V-Ray 6.2 Forest pack together with Rail clone instancing, and Intel's Meteor Lake integrated GPU.

The software brings updated DLSS support, adding 2.25x and 3x upscale modes to NVIDIA's real-time deep-learning performance multiplier.

The company also improved the quality of OptiX denoiser and included a Legacy mode option. Additionally, it upgraded Intel denoiser to 2.1.0, enabling GPU acceleration on Intel devices.

Other changes include a Firefly filter, better GPU peak memory usage, improved Orthographic camera navigation and Viewport Fill, and more.

Chaos has recently also launched V-Ray 6 Update 2 for 3ds Max and Corona 11, the latest version of its renderer for 3ds Max and Cinema 4D.

Vantage 2.2 is available for $108.90/month or $658.80/year. Find the patch notes here and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our Telegram channel, follow us on InstagramTwitter, and LinkedIn, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
