MECHABOP will soon receive a Steam page.
Team Trigear, the indie team behind MECHABOP, an upcoming stylish roguelike rhythm shooter, has brought some amazing updates to the WIP project.
If you missed our previous coverage about the game last April, MECHABOP is created with Unity, and its gameplay might remind you of beloved titles like Hi-Fi Rush and Jet Set Radio.
Players take on the role of Rain, the protagonist. Rain navigates through the world designed with a distinctive low-poly art style, mixing various gameplay mechanics in a fast-action rhythmic adventure. One of MECHABOP's most prominent features is the unusual weapons that Rain wields, like a boombox revolver powered by cassette tapes.
During the past eight months, the developers have been working hard to improve the game, which can be seen in the footage showcased on social media. With these clips, we have a chance to look at a new formidable giant enemy who treats players as a spider under the desk, attacking relentlessly; we'll also see a lava scene, some nice stylish combats, weapon showoffs, and how guns can shoot differently when upside down:
MECHABOP doesn’t have a Steam page to follow yet, but the developers are working on it, so you might expect to see it soon. We higly recommend you to follow the team on X/Twitter to be notified when the page is ready and see more sick footage there.
