Indie Developer Zefram showcased slow motion in Super Simmer.
Super Simmer is no new friend of ours. It's been nearly half a year since our last coverage about the development progress of this Unreal Engine 5-powered hack-and-slash action game with gory sword-wielding combat created by Indie Game Developer Zefram.
Their latest clip has brought nothing but a huge surprise, like usual. It showcases its slow-motion third-person gameplay, where the blood spurted out by the dismembered foes splashes out slowly, allowing you to roll and rush through it toward the enemy.
If this is the first time you've read about this game, Super Simmer, formerly known as Super1337, is a third-person hack-n-slash wave-based survival game with neat time-dilation mechanics that lets you turn hordes of zombies into mincemeat. It encourages a mix of finesse and strategic thinking, prompting players to carefully plan their move sets and combos within the brief moments of bullet time. If you take too long to eliminate enemies, they'll get faster and easily overwhelm you. Conversely, engaging in combat without thoughtful consideration may leave you vulnerable to making losing moves.
Through the recently shared demos, we get a chance to view the gameplay, weapon, melee combat pacing, hair simulation improvement, and a blend of our rifle/sword combat system:
