Check Out This Badass Stylized Girl Created in Blender

Maud Grainger was inspired by Anna Cattish's work.

It's always nice to see artists inspiring their colleagues, especially when the result is like the one generalist Maud Grainger presented in Psycho Girl.

The idea behind the Blender-made model was born from Anna Cattish's works. Grainger tried not to recreate Cattish's illustration perfectly but to use it as a cornerstone for their desire to play with grunge textures – created with Substance 3D Painter and Photoshop – Grease Pencil, and sharp lighting.

"I've always loved how Anna Cattish creates colorful stylized characters, so it was natural for me to get inspired by her work. 'Psycho Girl' was a nice challenge; not always easy to imagine how someone else's stylization works in perspective and 3D instead of a flat image, but I'm quite happy with how it ended up."

Grainger has plenty of other great art, which you can see on ArtStation
