Dragon Age: The Veilguard Release Date Revealed in New Trailer

The next adventure is almost here after a decade of waiting.

BioWare and EA have revealed the release date of Dragon Age: The Veilguard in a new trailer. Get ready to fight Solas and defy the gods on October 31.

The video shows your future companions from their best angles, and dragons finally seem to play a bigger role than they usually do. There are also griffins and a giant skeletal creature, which I suspect to be one of the gods you'll need to defeat. Oh, and some changes will strike Harding...

BioWare

The Veilguard changed its name from Dreadwolf back in June, aiming to reflect the game's focus on its companions. The developers have heavily hinted that Solas will not be the only villain there, and the trailer shows it. Aside from this turn of events, we can expect more regions of Thedas than ever before and familiar faces, including Varric and scout Harding.

The developers are said to be happy with The Veilguard and seemingly proud of its reworked combat system, which looks more dynamic than ever.

BioWare

There's a lot at stake for The Veilguard as it feels like the last chance for BioWare to prove its worth in the franchise after a decade-long break (and Mass Effect: Andromeda). Fans are wary because a lot of original developers have left the studio. Thankfully, the series' former executive producer Mark Darrah supervised the upcoming game as a consultant.
