Sakura Rabbit tested out the recently updated Zibra Smoke & Fire toolset.
In case you missed it, the ZibraAI team has recently shipped a new and improved version of Zibra Smoke & Fire, the studio's dedicated toolset for creating real-time volumetric smoke and fire effects in Unity. Based on custom physics simulation and ZibraAI's proprietary technology for object representation, the solution enables its users to set up real-time, physically accurate simulations that behave naturally in the virtual world.
Sakura Rabbit, a renowned VFX Artist and one of 80 Level regulars, was among the individuals who experimented with the enhanced plug-in and tested out the capabilities of its real-time smoke. In her latest demo, Sakura showed how the smoke responds to lights, shadows, interactions, and collisions, exemplifying the toolset's potential for environment art within Unity. Earlier, Sakura also presented a magical-looking clothing transformation effect, tested out Unity's Adaptive Probe Volumes (APV), explained how MagicaCloth2 can be utilized for real-time cloth physics simulations in Unity, showcased a breathtaking winter-themed real-time snow-covering effect, demonstrated a realistic and customizable real-time eye shader, showed a customizable stylized ocean shader, experimented with 3D space distortion and real-time muscle simulations, and more.
