VOIN also receives a roadmap for the upcoming new year, promising to bring loads of new features and mechanisms.
VOIN, a fast-paced hack-and-slash game where you can kill hordes of enemies, created by Solo Game Developer and Musician Nikita Sozidar using Unreal Engine 5, has finally been released in Early Access.
If you missed our previous coverage about the game last September, in VOIN, you play the role of an elemental servant created by a powerful mage with the task of purging the world of a devastating plague that has consumed all life. With an arsenal of medieval-style weapons and a variety of special abilities at your disposal, you'll engage in epic battles against hordes of enemies and formidable bosses in a first-person perspective.
As we are wrapping up 2024, VOIN also receives a roadmap for the upcoming new year, promising to bring loads of new features and mechanisms, such as expansion to the existing world, new items to forge your strengths, elit monsters, playable characters, and more excitedly, to receive a 1.0 version in the last quarter of 2025.

In a short 12 days, the game had gathered more than 200 positive reviews, boasting 94% positive feedback from players on Steam. If you’re not sure yet if this is your type of game, the recently shared demos give us chances to look at the visually stunning world in VOIN that seamlessly blends pixelated old-school aesthetics with more modern art styles, the UI panels for switching weapons on the Equipment section and the gory slays in the game:
Last year, the solo Nikita Sozidar joined us to talk about VOIN's Albert Bierstadt-inspired world, gameplay, fast-paced combat system, and his work with Unreal Engine, which might be very insightful and helpful if you’re also working on or thinking about making your own game using UE.
VOIN is 10% off now, so don’t hesitate to check it out before the offer ends. Also, follow the developer on Twitter to receive future updates of the game.
