RAWRLAB Games, a studio specializing in creating, porting, and publishing games, has announced a free Godot Engine port for Switch, available for authorized Nintendo developers and supporting projects made with versions 3.5.x and 4.1.x.
"This port represents a collaborative effort, co-authored by multiple members of the forums on the Nintendo Developer Portal. It underscores our commitment to make Godot Engine more accessible to a wider range of creators."
The code is distributed under the MIT license and comes "as is," without warranty or support of any kind. The port includes only basic functionality and supports GDScript, no native extensions. RAWRLAB says that developers with C++ knowledge can add and integrate additional functionalities, but don't expect the port to be highly optimized.
If you want to receive it, request access through the Nintendo Developer Portal. Godot creators hope to see more Switch games made with the engine soon, so you can be the one to help.
