The game is now called HITMAN World of Assassination.
On January 26, HITMAN 3 became HITMAN World of Assassination, bringing a patch with a new roguelike mode and NVIDIA DLSS 3 support.
Freelancer is a single-player mode that introduces roguelike elements, strategic planning, and a customizable safehouse. The creators call it a more independent experience, "where a lot of the surrounding work of being an assassin is put into the hands of the player." You will have to build and maintain gear and decide on what to bring to missions, weigh up the pros and cons of having a limited gear capacity and the risk of losing valuable equipment.
You can also decide which Syndicates to go up against based on your gameplay style and favorite locations. The success chance will depend on the tools you have when commencing a mission. The mode lets you carry out your own recon and investigation work by identifying targets in Showdown missions.
Another change added to the game the day it was renamed to HITMAN World of Assassination is support for NVIDIA DLSS 3: with the 3.140 release, you can now enjoy DLSS Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency.
"DLSS Frame Generation uses AI to boost frame rates by generating additional high-quality frames, all while optimizing responsiveness with NVIDIA Reflex Low Latency. DLSS Frame Generation requires a GeForce RTX 40 Series graphics card.
NVIDIA Reflex helps DLSS Frame Generation achieve maximum performance in addition to reducing latency, giving players a more responsive feel in-game. NVIDIA Reflex can be enabled in the graphics menu on GeForce 900 series and upwards."
