Dawn Apart is scheduled to launch in Early Access this summer.
If you like automation games with base-building elements, like Factorio, you might be interested to learn more about an upcoming title named Dawn Apart.
Dawn Apart is an automation game set on a destructible voxel planet. In this game, your primary tasks include mining resources, constructing factories with intricate assembly lines for automation, and defending your settlements. You will also colonize and manage an increasing number of inhabitants, such as engineers, mercenaries, and civilians while providing them with a thriving colony that will attract even more new settlers.
The developers promise that you’ll see lots of conveyor belts, which play an important role in your intricate automation system. The strategy part of the gameplay lies in the design of factory production lines. It'll test your ability to improve efficiency in resource management to keep your colony prosperous while defending it against the fierce natives or the other way around to fight against the corporation exploiting your new home.
The new round of playtests that just started yesterday will allow participants to:
- Build assembly lines and factories guided by a series of initial trade requests
- Explore a sizable preview of our handcrafted map
- Terraform the planet Aurora alongside your colonists
If you’d like to join it, feel free to sign up on the game’s Steam page by clicking the “request access” button.

The base game available in early access will include basic functions and gameplay. As the developers continue to improve and evolve the game, they will introduce more features, including new missions, events, and interactive animations that respond to player input and surroundings. Also, there will be enhanced social dynamics, reputation and recruiting systems, expanded combat, and much more.
