Sons of the Forest Has Sold Over 2 Million Copies

The game reached this milestone in just the first 24 hours of its Early Access release.

Sons of the Forest, a survival horror from Endnight Games, a sequel to 2014's The Forest, has sold over 2 million copies in the first 24 hours of its Early Access release.

The developer revealed the news on Twitter thanking players for their support and teasing some new exciting things that will be brought to the game in the coming weeks.

"Thanks to those who have joined us in our Early Access journey into ‘Sons Of The Forest’ We have sold over 2 million copies in the first 24 hours, and are very excited for what we have in store for players in the coming weeks," Endnight Games wrote.

The survival horror has become an immediate success – in just three hours of its release, it managed to hit a concurrent player peak of over 269,000, and currently, the 24-hour peak reaches more than 414,000 players.

At the time of writing, Sons of the Forest has 147,827 people simultaneously playing the game. In comparison, the original title, The Forest, reached a peak of 76,226 players throughout its entire lifetime.

Sons of the Forest was released in Early Access on February 23. The game is currently only available on PC via Steam. Considering this, the fact that the game has sold more than 2 million copies in just one day indicates a promising outlook for its future.
