Take A Look At This Mecha Action Game Featuring Retro Anime Aesthetics

Take control of a transformable jet mecha to conquer the galaxy in this third-person shooter developed with Unreal Engine.

Max Kaufmann, known as Max! on Twitter, is an indie game programmer working on a game called Nightshift Galaxy. He has recently shared footage that showcases a combat scene between a transformable jet mecha and a "wurm train". In the footage, the jet mecha is expertly maneuvering and deftly turning across holes to evade the wurm train, while simultaneously firing at it.

Nightshift Galaxy is a 3rd-person "mecha action shooter set in a satirical and slapstick retro anime world". The game is being developed by a small, multidisciplinary team led by Max, using the Unreal Engine.

The game is designed for PC and consoles. While the release date is not yet confirmed, the team is hopeful about launching it in the next couple of years.
