Check out YakovlevArt's awesome collection of Akira-inspired 3D renders.
YakovlevArt, a professional 2D/3D Artist specializing primarily in anime-style works, has recently gone viral on Twitter for showcasing a gorgeous collection of 3D recreations of scenes from Akira, a legendary 1988 animated cyberpunk action film based on Katsuhiro Otomo's manga series.
Captivating the viewer with their immense scale, intricate lighting, and meticulous attention to detail, the renders were set up using Blender Eevee, with the author revealing that he has been working on the project for about a year now but still feels that it's not quite complete. According to YakovlevArt, the main priorities for this series were lighting and layering, which allowed him to faithfully translate Akira's 2D aesthetics into a 3D space.
Besides showcasing the final renders, the author has also shared the project files behind them, which are available via YakovlevArt's official Patreon page.
