This Audio Tool for Unity Will Make Creating Soundscapes Extremely Simple

Enhance and muffle sounds as you wish.

Sound design can be tricky; there are many things to consider to make game audio make sense. But the struggle is over thanks to Martin from TelePresent Games and his Sound Shapes, a dynamic audio tool for Unity.

The program allows you, for example, to simply set an area where you want your sound to play when the player crosses it, and you won't have to come up with complex schemes to make audio fade.

It can also detect a roof and muffle the sound of rain accordingly so that the player hears it touch the surface only. The video above has a great explanation of what the tool offers.

Martin believes that the strengths of Sound Shapes are in "how it streamlines and improves the experience of making shapes, as well as the more advanced features, such as mesh/emitter tracking modes, dual-audio support, and built-in occlusion – all packaged together."

You can get Sound Shapes with a discount for a limited time. Check it out and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our new Discord server, follow us on InstagramTwitterLinkedInTelegramTikTok, and Threads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
