This Realistic Retro Record Store Made in Blender Could Be Visual for Indie Band Album

Daniel Skomorovsky and his girlfriend caught that special vibe.

If I didn't know this record store scene was published in the Blender subreddit, I would assume it was Placebo's album cover or another band's creative photoshoot. But no, this is Daniel Skomorovsky's skill and a lot of Blender magic.

The artist filled the environment with cassette meshes and asked his girlfriend to pose for the retro shoot. Combined, they created an impressively realistic image.

Skomorovsky says that he got a base cassette model and compiled some uniform-size textures into a grid "to have a sort of sprite-sheet." Then, he shifted the projection in the UV Editor by X amount every time to get a new texture. "Do this enough times + random offsets, and you get enough variation to where you can't tell they repeat."

If you want to see Skomorovsky's other projects, be sure to visit his ArtStation and share your feedback.
