This Silent Hill-Inspired Old-School Horror Game Gets a Halloween Demo

It's only available for a limited time.

If you are a horror game fan, you have probably already heard of Labyrinth Of The Demon King, either from our previous coverage of the game or other channels. It's been nearly a year since we last covered it, and we are glad to hear the game now has a Halloween demo on Steam, available for limited time, for those who want to have a taste of the combat of this horror game inspired by Feudal Japan.

Don't worry if you missed our previous articles about the game.  Labyrinth Of The Demon King is an old-school style horror game being created by solo game developer J.R. Hydepohl, with Top Hat Studios acting as the game's publisher. In this game, you'll need to travel through the eerie fog-covered Labyrinth Of The Demon King, solving puzzles and fighting blood-curdling creatures using an assortment of melee and ranged weapons along the way, with your goal being to find the demon who betrayed your lord and end its life.

As soon as you watch some clips of the game, you'll probably get attracted by its unique PS1-style graphics; that rusty texture carries a creepy atmosphere by nature. During the past year, the indie developer has shared more in-game footage and screenshots to give us a further look at its combat, enemies, and eerie environment:

The game was expected to launch early this year, but it seems to be suffering from some delay. But with this new demo coming out, I guess the release date won't be far. If you like this game, don't hesitate to try out the demo, wishlist the game on Steam, and follow the developer on X/Twitter to get more updates.
