DMZ: Nuclear Survival will soon be available in Early Access on Steam.
Indie development studio Wild Dog just dropped the reveal trailer for DMZ: Nuclear Survival, an upcoming multiplayer open-world survival crafting game powered by Unreal Engine 5.
As the title shows, the game is set in Pangea, a supercontinent born after a nuclear war. The goal is to survive in this harsh environment: "Build a private military company, train survivors as soldiers, explore a vast procedurally generated map, uncover relics from ancient ruins, and fight for survival."
The land contains rich biomes, from forests to grasslands, wastelands, deserts, and snowfields. Players can dig and build to create caves, fortresses, and trenches. Under the surface of the ground are mineral veins and ancient ruins where you can take advantage of various tools, such as shovels, dynamite, or even nuclear weapons, to find valuable resources.
But you're not the only one in this world — NPCs and other players could be encountered and fought with. You can command a squad consisting of up to three trained soldiers and combine various skills and perks to create an ultimate team.
If you capture any NPCs, bring them back, accommodate them in your basement, and make them your companions. "These include combat-specialized soldiers like infantry, scouts, and medics, as well as valuable personnel for internal affairs such as farmers, scientists, and politicians." Also, animals can become your allies, so think about bears, wolves, ostriches, etc.

Besides PvE gameplay, you can also enjoy PvP by setting up your own server and playing with more than 100 players, inviting friends to build a powerful military corporation. If you prefer to enjoy a solo experience, offline single-player mode is also fully supported.
DMZ: Nuclear Survival will soon be available in Early Access on Steam. If you're interested, add it to your wishlist to be notified when it's released.
