The artist utilized Substance 3D Sampler to turn generated images into materials.

Have a look at these beautiful materials created by Senior Material Artist Stan Brown using Midjourney, a new AI-powered software that can turn any text description into an image. To create the materials, the artist generated a set of images using various text inputs and then turned them into materials via Substance 3D Sampler. The author also praised the tool's ability to create patterns, grunges, and specific noise types almost instantly and iterate on them but commented that this will have "huge implications for material authoring".
