Maciej Drabik and YakovlevArt did a fantastic job.
The Matrix was released when players enjoyed the first PlayStation and its "chunky" graphics. We had to wait 25 years, but we can finally take a sneak peek at what a game in this franchise could look like, thanks to Maciej Drabik and YakovlevArt, who recreated a shot from the famous bridge scene in the style of PSX games.
Yakovlev created the environment and lighting, while Drabik added animation, VFX, retro shaders, and post-processing. They didn't reimagine the whole scene, but what they did is enough to see the artists' talent. Hopefully, they will continue this project.
