Check Out This Awesome 3D Wolf-Knight Created with ZBrush & UE5

An original artwork by 3D Character Artist Margarita Ykhnenko.

3D Character Artist Margarita Ykhnenko unveiled this atmospheric artwork with an original wolf-knight character created with ZBrush, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine 5.

The artist shared that she had the idea for this character while studying armor from the 14th to 16th centuries. According to the creator, the character belongs to an imaginary world of a realm of beast folk, where different animals take on various roles. Wolves and dogs, for instance, become knights, representing strength, nobility, and loyalty. Margarita Ykhnenko masterfully created an immersive atmosphere of a harsh, cold winter world, challenging its bold characters.

Blocking and sculpting were done with ZBrush. Then, the artist proceeded to Maya for retopology and to create fur cards. UV unwrapping was done in Rizom, and the final render was made using Unreal Engine 5.

Before, Margarita Ykhnenko showed a recreation of Astarion from Baldur's Gate 3 made with ZBrush, Maya, Substance 3D Painter, and Unreal Engine:
