ClayPencil Creator Tests Grease Pencil & Geometry Nodes Combo in Blender

ClayPencil 0.2 will make dreams come true in 3D.

Daniel Martínez Lara, the creator of ClayPencil, a Geometry Nodes setup built on Grease Pencil, shared some of his experiments with the upcoming version of the tool.

ClayPencil 0.2 in his hands is capable of many mighty things, although there is more work to be done – the next release will bring more complex 3D shapes. Lately, Lara has been restructuring the nodes and "trying to find a clear and clean workflow for the user." For now, it needs more research and testing, and there is no release date for this version yet.

However, you can follow the development on Lara's LinkedIn, it's full of fascinating surprises and inspiration. The potential is huge: you just need to draw your image/animation, and the tool will make it 3D, as we've seen with this funny character.

Stay tuned for the release, get ClayPencil 0.1 on Gumroad, and join our 80 Level Talent platform and our new Discord server, follow us on InstagramTwitterLinkedInTelegramTikTok, and Threads, where we share breakdowns, the latest news, awesome artworks, and more.
