Honkai: Star Rail Reportedly Generated $50M Within Two Weeks of Its Release

According to the latest data, the game has earned more than $33 million from the Chinese App Store alone.

The mobile version of Honkai: Star Rail, a role-playing gacha game from Genshin Impact developer HoYoverse (formerly MiHoYo), generated more than $50 million in revenue within the first two weeks of its release, according to AppMagic data.

Additionally, as revealed by Honkai Lab data, the game has earned over $33 million from the Chinese App Store alone. This impressive figure was recorded just 13 days after the game's release.

Following the successful launch of Honkai: Star Rail, HoYoverse reportedly secured the second spot for the highest-grossing game publishers on the App Store in April. The top spot was claimed by Tencent, while HoYoverse's revenue soared due to the remarkable performance of its latest title.

Earlier, it was reported that Honkai: Star Rail had surpassed 20 million downloads on its release day. In comparison, Genshin Impact achieved 17 million downloads on its launch day in September 2020 and reached 23 million downloads within a week of its release.

Honkai: Star Rail is a sci-fi JRPG that takes place in the Honkai universe and is available as a free-to-play game. The game's plot revolves around the characters embarking on a space voyage to explore diverse planets. The game is currently available on PC, iOS, and Android platforms, and is set to release on PS4 and PS5 in the future.
