Mesmerizing 3D Modeling Timelapse You Can Watch on Repeat

Brought to you by Blender Artist Katsu Natsumori.

Katsu Natsumori, a Blender Artist specializing in NPR anime-style 3D character modeling, has recently impressed tens of thousands of people by unveiling what has to be one of the most hypnotizing timelapse videos ever made.

Capable of capturing your attention for minutes on end, the video in question depicts the creation process behind a cute 3D anime witch, showing her head gradually turning from a single quad into a complete stylized head model. While it sheds some light on the modeling techniques Katsu used in production, the demo doesn't provide much information about the character herself, leaving open the possibility that the project is still WIP and that we might see a similar timelapse for the character's body in the future.

If you'd like to see more of Katsu's projects and learn more about modeling anime-like 3D characters in Blender, we highly recommend visiting the artist's Twitter and YouTube pages, filled to the brim with mesmerizing showcases and insightful tutorials.

Previously, 3D Artist Jan van den Hemel also presented a stunning timelapse of a hand modeled with Blender:

And prior to that, Senior Technical Artist Maximilien Vert portrayed the gradual decay of a maple leaf after it falls from a tree through an awesome timelapse video:
