Destroy your office and knock around your colleagues in this upcoming game powered by Unity.
Developer CebCode Games has recently shared a new demo showcasing We Could Be Heroes, an upcoming retro-style beat 'em up game inspired by classic arcade titles from the 90s and powered by Unity.
For those unaware, We Could Be Heroes revitalizes the classic arcade gaming experience for the modern era, letting you wreak havoc in your surroundings and deliver brutal blows to your enemies. With its stylized pixelated graphics, the game assigns you the task of protecting innocent civilians, exploring background shops and buildings, interacting with the environment, and using martial arts, an array of weapons, and the surroundings to take on the city's gangsters.
The new demo shows gameplay for Simon, a mailroom worker skilled in Jeet Kune Do and one of the four playable characters in We Could Be Heroes, demonstrating him destroying an office space and knocking around his coworkers in a stylish fashion. Presumably, the new demo provides a look at one of the levels that will be featured in the final game.

Apart from Simon, the game will feature three additional playable characters: Mina, a full-time nurse with a 4th-degree black belt in ITF Taekwondo, Byron, a formidable laborer at a construction site, skilled in BJJ, Shuai Jiao, and Sambo wrestling, and Penelope, who works as a waitress at Ultrabucks Coffee and has practiced Karate since the age of 5, recently incorporating Wing Chun into her martial arts repertoire. According to the developer, each character has a unique feel and move set for the player to master.
